In an effort to use what I already had in my fridge and liquor cabinet, I celebrated Cinco de Mayo with Caipirinhas instead of Margaritas this year (although, we did add some jalapeño to spice it up a bit). It’s so tasty, I’ll be making these all summer!
Anna’s Strawberry Jalapeño Caipirinha
Half a lime, quartered
1 Chopped strawberry
1 Slice jalapeño*
.5 oz Simple syrup
2 oz Cachaça
Glass: Double Old Fashioned
Garnish: Slice of jalapeño and half a strawberryIn the double Old Fashioned Glass, muddle the lime, strawberry, jalapeño and simple syrup. Add ice and cachaça. Stir, and garnish with a slice of jalapeño and half a strawberry.
Pretty, no?
